Content & AI Policy
This page exists because I think you deserve to know where I stand on a few things.
Writing
Everything published on this blog is written by me. I do not use AI tools to generate posts, articles, or opinions. I’ve tried it. The output doesn’t sound like me and it takes longer to fix than to just write from scratch. More importantly, if I’m going to put my name on something, it should actually be mine.
I may use a spell checker. That’s about as far as it goes.
Images & Media
I do not use AI-generated images on this site. If there’s an image here, it’s either something I took, something in the public domain, or something properly licensed.
AI Tools in General
I work in information security, so I follow this space closely. I have opinions about AI — some of them skeptical, some of them practical. You’ll find those opinions in my posts, not baked into the content itself.
I do have accounts with some of the major AI platforms. I use them out of genuine curiosity and for work efficiency — understanding the tools is part of doing the job well. That said, using AI to get things done faster at work is a different matter than using it to write my thoughts for me. One is a productivity tool. The other is just ghostwriting I don’t want.
Comments & Engagement
I don’t run ads on this site. I’m not monetizing your attention or selling your data to anyone. If I ever add a donation link to help cover hosting costs, I’ll be upfront about it.
Why This Page Exists
A lot of sites use AI to churn out content and don’t tell you. I think that’s worth disclosing either way. This is mine, it’s manual, and it’s honest. That’s the standard I’m holding myself to.
If something ever changes, I’ll update this page and note it.
